Thanks for using this Beta version of Vidzsport. Please check back frequently for new features.
Searching for a Team - Use the 'Home' page seach box to find the Club or School you're looking for. Our database allows you to search by club/school name, and it will return a list of teams for those clubs/schools that match your search query.
Examples: entering 'Orlando' in the Club Search box will return all teams with the word Orlando in their club name (e.g. Orlando Volleyball Academy, Orlando Gold VBC).
Some club/school names do not contain abbreviations (e.g. OVA), so spell out a key word if you can't the teams you're looking for.
Can't Find your team? - You can add a team by using the link at the bottom of the Club / School search results page. We are also always adding to our database of teams, so check back frequently.
If you'd like us to add your team, please use the Contact Us to send us a request with the team (or league) name, location, sport, and any urls, etc. Please include your email address in case we have questions.
Viewing Videos and Pictures - As you navigate to the team you're looking for, each team page will contain the pictures and videos that have been posted for that team, sorted by posted date. In other words, the most recent posts will be near the top. Just click on the picture or video thumbnail to view the content.
Posting Content - Use the Upload: Photos Videos links on the team page to post your team pictures and videos. Once you've posted your content, it'll be available for others to view. Please note that you must be a registered user, and also logged in, before you can post content. Please keep copies of any important content. Vidzsport is not responsible for any 'lost' pictures or video.
Content posted directly on the team page will be available for anyone to view, content posted within a gallery will require a password before someone can view it.
Team Wikis - Use the Team Wiki link on the team page to create or edit a Team Wiki. A Team Wiki is a simple way for users to post common info like schedules, rosters, messages, etc. Wiki's are created on a first come, first served basis for each team, and you can only have one Team Wiki per team. However, any registered user can create or edit the Team Wiki.
You can also upload a logo to the Team Wiki page!
Editing or Removing Content - Use the MyContent link on the leftside panel to view all of the pictures and videos that have been posted by your account. You can use the 'edit' link to change titles, descriptions, etc. Changing the status from 'Active' to 'Inactive' will cause the item to no longer display on the Team Page. You can re-activate the content using the same edit link. Please note that you must be a registered user, and also logged in, before you can edit content, and you can only edit content that you have posted.
Restricting Access to Content - Use the Private Galleries feature on the Team Page to create a more restricted area for your content. When you create a 'Gallery', you assign a password that is required before entering that gallery. You can share this password with team mates, parents, etc to have a restricted collection of content. Uploading content to a gallery works very similarly to posting team (public) content, just follow the links on the Gallery Page. Remember, this simple password approach isn't foolproof, and anyone with access to the password can enter.
Private Galleries - This feature lets you post content into a grouping ('a gallery') for either organization or control purposes. For example, you could create a gallery for each tournament your team plays in, to keep content organized. Galleries also require a password to 'open', but do not require viewers to be registered Vidzsport users. This works great if you want to share content with infrequent Vidzsport users (e.g. relatives, etc). Each gallery can be maintained (name, password, etc) by the owner using the MyGalleries link on the leftside panel. Remember, this simple password approach isn't foolproof, and anyone with access to the password can enter.
Changing a Gallery password - Gallery passwords can only be changed by the owner/creator of that gallery. Once you've logged in to Vidzsport, use the MyGalleries link on the leftside panel to access a list of galleries you've created. From there, follow the edit link to change the password. The password must be at least 6 characters in length, and no more than 25 characters.
Removing a Gallery - The status of a Gallery can only be changed by the owner/creator of that gallery. Once you've logged in to Vidzsport, use the link on the leftside panel to access a list of galleries you've created. From there, follow the edit link to change the status to 'Inactive'. Inactive galleries will not show up on the Team Page, but will still show up under MyGalleries.
Reporting Problems - We welcome your (constructive :) ) feedback. Please use the Contact Us link in the footer of most pages to send us your comments. If you're reporting a bug or glitch, please be a specific as possible. Use real examples (e.g. team names, etc) if you can. Thanks!
